Today was a rest day, but Charlotte and I started to work through the Mobility WOD series from Kelly Starrett. I’m terrible at doing prehab and stretching work so I think a daily challenge like this could go a long way.
Today’s challenge: 10 minutes in the bottom of a bodyweight squat. (video)
It proved to be tougher than I would have imagined. My anterior tibialis were firing on all cylinders, and I had to hold onto my desk for the last few minutes, but we both made it. Felt great afterwards. Since I spend so much time in extension with my lower back, it was nice to have it rounded for quite awhile.
