Finishing up the CrossFit Open with this couplet of chest-to-bars and thrusters:

My sole goal was to finish. I started off going 9-8-8-8 on the thrusters. Then, I went 9-9-5-4 on the next set. 7’s for the set of 21. 8-7 on the set of 15. 5-4 on the set of 9. My chest-to-bars were in sets of 5-6 to start and then triples the rest of the way. I ended up finishing 4 reps shy with a score of 206. I spent too much time staring at the bar between sets of thrusters. It was a pretty devastating way to finish out the Open! I really wish I could’ve finished.

Beginning on an 8-minute clock, complete as many reps as possible of:

25 toes-to-bars
50 double-unders
15 squat cleans, 135 / 85 lb.
25 toes-to-bars
50 double-unders
13 squat cleans, 185 / 115 lb.

If completed before 8 minutes, add 4 minutes to the clock and proceed to:
25 toes-to-bars
50 double-unders
11 squat cleans, 225 / 145 lb.

If completed before 12 minutes, add 4 minutes to the clock and proceed to:
25 toes-to-bars
50 double-unders
9 squat cleans, 275 / 175 lb.

If completed before 16 minutes, add 4 minutes to the clock and proceed to:
25 toes-to-bars
50 double-unders
7 squat cleans, 315 / 205 lb.

This was actually a throwback to the CrossFit Open in 2016 (logged here). I really wanted to get through the 185# bar, but I ended up with 11 squat cleans for a total score of 176 (still a 9 rep improvement over last time).
