Road Ragner Leg #3
Last leg! I ran around 9:30am in the morning on Saturday. Since it was only 3.2 miles, I decided I was going to push the pace the entire way. The finish was about 3/4 a mile of straightaway so I had some motivation with my entire team yelling my name. Ended up passing someone in the final stretch for a total of 6 kills on the leg.
Distance: 3.22 miles
Pace: 7:30 min/mile
Ragnar Road legs #1 and #2
I ran this one around 2:30pm in the afternoon so it was hot and slightly uphill the entire way. Needless to say, I didn’t have a good time. Pace was unbearably slow, and I was dying!
Distance: 8.14 miles
Pace: 8:27 min/mile
My first night leg! I felt AMAZING during this one. I started my GPS a bit late so the real distance was around 5.2 miles, but I managed to make up a ton of ground and get some kills (15).
Distance: 4.7 miles
Pace: 7:10 min/mile
First day of Ragnar Trail Snowmass, CO! Awesome team from Undeniable. I was the fourth runner of the group so my legs went Green, Red, then Yellow. Here are the recaps. We ended up finishing 9/100 teams!
Leg #1 – Green (12:15pm)
First, it was pretty damn hot when I took off for this one (somewhere in the low 80’s with no clouds). This was the green (easiest) route so the total was roughly 4 miles. It start off nice and flat, but then it quickly got hilly. I was able to run 95% of the route, but honestly, this was the hardest run of the day.
Distance: 4 miles
Leg #2 – Red (6:30pm)
This was supposed to be the hardest route, but I actually had a ton of fun. It was straight uphill for the first three miles then straight downhill for the last 3.75 miles. I managed to run the entire road bit and then walked the last steep climb on the trail before descending.
Distance: 6.7 miles
Lap #3 – Yellow (1:30am)
I ran the yellow loop last, and I was pretty zonked. I didn’t sleep at all before the run, but I think I would’ve been more out of it if I had.
Distance: 3.71 miles
Ragnar! I participated on the CrossFit Undeniable team for the Ragnar Relay. I ended up doing two legs on Friday and one on Saturday. Tons of fun. I’ll definitely be back! Here’s a quick recap of the legs.
Distance: 8.9 miles
This one was a bit of a doozy. I went up and over a mountain pass during my first two miles so the pace was pretty darn slow. After that, it was a lot of flat and downhill which helped quite a bit. Was feeling pretty gassed towards the end. Also accidentally stopped my GPS watch hence the break in the Strava stats.
Start of the run
Distance: 5.8 miles
This was my favorite leg of the entire race. It was completely flat so I was able to cruise. Most of the miles were in the 7:40’s with the last one in the 7:30’s.
Distance: 1.9 miles
Short and sweet for my last leg!
